About

A new company, deliberately.

Oudience builds its own software products and takes on client work with the same engineers. We are early, and we would rather say so than pretend otherwise.

Two streams that feed each other.

We build and run our own products. Cloud Analytics reads AWS and Azure accounts to find where spend and security risk actually sit. Marketplace is white-labelled marketplace software for teams running their own product, service, or restaurant hubs, and launches next month.

We also build software for other people: process automations, websites and web apps, mobile apps, and the IT infrastructure underneath all of it.

Those two halves are not separate businesses. Running our own products in production is what keeps the client work honest, because we carry the consequences of our own architectural decisions. The client work, in turn, is what exposes us to problems we would never have hit inside our own codebase.

We are a young company with a short client list. What we can offer instead of a long one is direct access to the people actually building your software, and a straight answer about whether we are the right fit.

What we hold to.

Four commitments that are easy to write down and harder to keep. We would rather be measured against them.

Say what it will cost

Estimates given against a scope we both understand, and revised out loud when reality disagrees rather than absorbed quietly into a deadline.

Security is part of building

OWASP guidance on mobile, least-privilege access on cloud, and sensible defaults everywhere else. It is cheaper here than in an audit later.

Working software over status

Progress is something you can open and click. A deck describing software that does not exist yet is not progress.

Build it to be handed over

Documented, deployable, and readable by an engineer who is not us. You should never be trapped with us by accident.

How the work goes.

The same four stages whether we are automating a back office process, shipping a mobile app, or taking over an untidy cloud account. No stage exists purely to produce a document.

Worth a conversation?

Thirty minutes, no pitch deck. If we are not the right fit we will say so on the call.
